形態特徵

• More or less tufted perennial with very short rhizome. Culms erect, 30-70 cm tall, slender, rigid, 2-4-nodose.
• Leaves aggregated at base of culms and a few upper ones cauline and spaced, narrowly linear, 3-5 mm wide, flattish, gradually tapering above to acute, scabrous apex; sheaths 5-9 cm long, tightly surrounding culm; ligule short, truncated, membranaceous, rusty brown.
• Corymbs 3-5, mostly binate, suberect on unequal, exserted peduncles, subloosely bearing 1-8 clusters of spikelets; bracts surpassing subtending panicle, short-sheathing at base; bracteoles setaceous to scale like. Spikelets broadly lanceolate at maturity, 7-8 mm long, weakly laterally compressed, 4- or 5-flowered, (1- or) 2-fruited.
• glumes 5-7, ovate-oblong, membranaceous, 1-costate, brown to yellowish brown, acuminate at apex. Achenes broadly obovate, 2-2.5 mm long, somewhat unequally biconvex, subacute on edges, sides slightly shiny, brown, weakly transversely wrinkled with longitudinally oblong epidermal cells; stylebase slightly shorter than achene, conical, gradually tapering from very base to a filiform style; stigmas 2. Hypogynous bristles 6, filiform, 4-5.5 mm long, minutely upwardly scabrous.

• 台灣 : Swamps and wet grasslands.
• 世界 : From central Japan through the Ryukyus and Taiwan southwestwards to southern Chinese continent and northern India, and southwards to Malaysia.
